2019 marks the 60th Anniversary of the Shelter Life Insurance Company. The Life Company began doing business in 1959 with the Charter Policy—the only policy we had available at the time. Today, Shelter offers eight different life insurance products with more than $27 billion of life insurance in force.
As part of our celebration of Shelter Life Insurance Company’s 60th Anniversary year, we invited employees to participate in the creation of a “Leaves of Love” commemorative wall. This display is an 8 foot by 8 foot silhouette image of a tree, and the leaves are submissions from agents and employees of three words, a short quote or names of individuals. The submissions represent their reason for getting life insurance or what life insurance means to them. The tree has grown to 441 leaves—a great representation of the growth of Shelter Life Insurance Company.
